First in the series of work that I plan to do around the desert theme. In this series I want to explore the pop of colour in the otherwise dry and arid desert landscape.
I've always loved cactus and this one is my textile interpretation using mix media techniques. vintage textiles, beads, a bit of tassel love and embroidery.
The textures of the vintage textile compliments the visual element of cactus. The beads, tassels and jewel like embroidered textile adds an element od celebration to the art. Already dreaming of the next one.....
